Learn More Here
By now you may have learned about this Living Lab project that Loop Head are taking part in (if not, read all about it here) and maybe you are interested in participating?
(A) Follow Along: If you are generally interested in soil health and in following the project and taking the learnings from it, there will be opportunities to attend webinars on the challenges identified by the local farmers and the ways they might be tackled. There will also be learning opportunities such as workshops. To become an ‘Interested to Learn’ participant, please send us an email to loopheadtogether@gmail.com and we will sign you up! That’s it - we will then keep in touch with you to let you know of upcoming events, farm walks, webinars or workshops that you might be interested in attending.
Note: Please put the words ‘Interested to Learn’ on the subject line.
(B) Actively Participate: If you are interested in learning more about being one of our Living Lab active farmers, then you will be asked to
(a) meet and help identify specific soil challenges on your land
(b) provide a piece of land on which the academic team can explore sustainable practices to tackle said challenges for which you will be paid €1000 per hectare, per year.
(c) partake in our learning events
(d) perhaps travel abroad (costs covered) to at least one of our European Living Labs for an opportunity to see how others are doing it.
If you are interested in partaking more actively like this, please email loopheadtogether@gmail.com - note please put the words ‘Active Farmer Participation’ in the subject line and we will get in touch asap.
To Learn more our first community launch event is taking place on the 26th April at 1pm in Cross Digital Hub - Cross, Co. Clare.
