Our EU Story: A look back on Hemp4Soil

As we begin to break the news now of our upcoming participation in the EU Horizon project ‘Soilcrates’ - we take a look back on what got us there! Our year long participation in the Hemp4Soil project, with Laura and Daniel and their team, our team of amazing participating farmers and of course the project team here at Loop Head Together. Loop Head took home the National Climate Action Award that year, and this year Loop Head will be catapulted onto the European Stage with its involvement in the Living Labs project ‘Soilcrates’ - in fact the peninsula is one of only three participating communities in all of Ireland! This will help us further our quest to look at sustainable soil management practices - ones that benefit our farmers as well as our environment! We will explain more about Soilcrates soon - but in the meantime, here is a quick look back on our EU story so far!
